Information we collect
When you use LearnerEVO, we collect the information you provide to us directly:
- Account information: your email address and password (stored securely by Firebase Authentication).
- Profile information: your name, school, grade, subjects, career interests and preferred institutions.
- Academic information: the term results you choose to log on the platform.
- Planning information: application checklist statuses you choose to save.
- Private feedback: page usefulness ratings and optional comments you choose to submit.
How we use your information
- To calculate your APS and show your academic progress.
- To recommend degrees, diplomas and career paths that match your profile.
- To improve the platform and fix problems.
How your information is stored
Your data is stored using Google Firebase services (Authentication and Cloud Firestore). Some data, such as exam results, may also be stored locally in your browser. We do not sell your personal information.
Report-card images and private sharing
Report-card images selected in Planning Tools are processed in your browser to suggest marks for you to review. LearnerEVO saves only the marks you explicitly confirm, not the image itself. If you create a private progress link, a minimal read-only snapshot is stored under a long random link and becomes inaccessible automatically after the expiry period you choose. Anyone who receives that link can view the snapshot until it expires, so share it only with a trusted parent, teacher or counsellor.
Recommendation calibration
Raw learner activity does not automatically retrain or alter live recommendations. Calibration must use a sufficiently large, validated and version-matched outcome sample before an approved model update can be activated.
Private page usefulness ratings
After you have used a signed-in learner screen, LearnerEVO may invite you to rate its usefulness from 1 to 5. Submitting is optional. A response stores your account ID, the page name, rating, feedback version, timestamps and any optional comment you add. It does not include your marks, APS, subjects, school, profile details or email address.
One rating is stored per page and feedback version so the prompt does not repeatedly appear, and it is retained until you withdraw it or request deletion of your account data. Ratings remain private to you and the LearnerEVO administrator, are separate from optional Google Analytics, and never change recommendation or admission-readiness calculations. You can view and withdraw them from the signed-in Give feedback page.
Optional product analytics
If you choose “Allow analytics”, LearnerEVO uses Google Analytics 4 to count page visits and a small set of product actions, such as applying Programme Finder filters, opening a course group and following an official programme source. This helps us understand which journeys work and where learners encounter empty results.
We do not send your name, email address, account ID, marks, APS, grade, subjects, profile information, free-text searches, source URLs or private-link query strings. Analytics is not linked to Firebase Authentication, your learner profile or Firestore records. Google may set an analytics cookie after you consent; advertising personalisation and Google Signals are disabled by LearnerEVO's tag configuration. Analytics records remain subject to the GA4 property's access and retention settings.
Analytics is off by default. Declining it does not affect the site. Your choice is stored only in this browser and can be changed at any time.
Advertising
Public pages of this site may display advertising served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us. If you delete your account, your profile data will be removed from our systems.
